Om Foundation has developed NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION FORUM for “Working Together To Prevent Suicide” through developing and delivering public awareness programmes with the help of the NSPF volunteers. Join us as a City/District/State representative and serve the nation for the purpose of Suicide Prevention and feel proud.  There is no fee for joining NSPF for serving the Nation. We will provide LIFE SKILLS DYNAMIC MEDITATION GATEKEEPER TRAINING FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION without cost and will be happy to share our experiences regarding public awareness campaign for Suicide Prevention to guide you.  I know that in India it is very difficult task to start Suicide Prevention Campaign due to social stigma attached with the mental health issues and suicide. When we all will come together to join NSPF ,certainly we will place an example of mental health awareness which will promote other people to come forward to ask help and consult mental health professionals to solve their mental illnesses like Depression, Anxiety  Disorders etc.  In another words “STOP DEPRESSION-PREVENT SUICIDE AND REMOVE STIGMA” through public awareness campaign is my motto. My second and most important aim is promote the development of NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION STRATEGY in our country through making an appeal with the Government and promoting understanding in this issue in the public domain.Since many years I am communicating with the Government regarding the development of the NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION STRATEGY and getting their positive responses in this regards. I am trying to make a common platform for promoting the discussion regarding the urgent need for development of the NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION STRATEGY in our country. World Health Organization, Geneva has published a guide book under the title of NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION STRATEGIES- PROGRESS, EXAMPLES AND INDICATORS, where my name has been published in the acknowledgement page for providing review of this book. Therefore I am morally bound to spread the message that SUICIDE IS EFFECTIVELY PREVENTABLE BY THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION STRATEGY and every country should implement it .More than one Lac people are dying every year in our country and about 70 percent of them belongs from youngsters and
middle aged persons.  Therefore implementation of NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION STRATEGY is necessary in our country for saving the lives of innocent people including our youngsters. Hope all will happily join NSPF to take a charge of social leadership in their city/district/state to deal constructively with the big public health problem of our country “suicide”.
